Dear smart clubs,


As you already know at 26th and the 27th of August this year the biggest international smart community event smart times 2016 will take place in the area of the Großmarkthalle in Hamburg, Germany. We would like to take this opportunity, to inform you about how to get one of the limited club area spaces at the venue and about a special this year called the Parade of the Nations.

Club Area

For all those of you who would like to be part of the Club Area at smart times 2016 we offer tickets to win! Send us your ideas - The best will be chosen and get the possibility to present itself and the nation in a limited area at smart times 2016 in Hamburg. Please note that the number of tents ant the tents itself on the smart times venue plan are only drafts. We will make the space available for you whereas you are responsible for bringing everything else (tents, materials,...) to let your smart club shine. There is no possibility for catering activities in the club area. The guidelines are available now and you can find them attached.

Send us your concept paper with your ideas and a photo of your smart club till 15th June 2016 to info@smarttimes16.com. The winners will be announced at 22nd June 2016 on the official smart times Facebook page www.facebook.com/smarttimes.

Parade of the Nations

Enjoy your way of driving your smart with the biggest smart fan community from over 33 nations worldwide. This year we want to bring all these nations together at the big smart times 2016 stage in Hamburg – the gateway to the world.

The official opening ceremony moderated by Dr. Annette Winkler will take place at 26th August 2016, 8.30 pm. The representatives of the Nations bearing the flags of their nations and walk in a parade onto the smart times 2016 stage in the host city of Hamburg, Germany. The flag bearer have the unique possibility to represent their nation and will open the ceremony live on stage with Dr. Annette Winkler.

Therefore each smart club can elect one person to represent them at the first Parade at the Nations at smart times 2016 till 15th June 2016 to info@smarttimes16.com. Only one person from each country will be on stage with Dr. Annette Winkler. The representatives from each nation will be thrown into a pot and a winner will be drawn at 20th June 2016. A video of the drawing process will be announced on 20th June 2016 at the official smart times facebook page www.facebook.com/smarttimes.
